Bahá’u’lláh’s Vision for Humanity

Bahá’u’lláh brought a vision for the betterment of the world and the establishment of a new social order founded on unity and cooperation. He proclaimed that the purpose of creation is to foster fellowship and harmony among humanity, and that all people are members of one human family. In this vision, the earth is a homeland where people of every background live together in justice, peace, and mutual respect. All forms of prejudice and fanaticism are abandoned, and the unity of religions and their divine origin are recognized through the advancement of their shared purpose: to foster love among humanity.

Bahá’u’lláh’s teachings make the realization of this vision possible. Among these teachings are full equality of women and men, universal education in recognition of the vital role of knowledge in the advancement of society, and the central importance of justice in all aspects of social life. His teachings further emphasize that the well-being of the individual is inseparable from the well-being of society, that the family is the fundamental building block of a healthy and prosperous community, and that sincerity in work, service to one’s country, and loyalty to government are among the pillars of true faith.

The followers of Bahá’u’lláh believe that His teachings offer a remedy for the challenges facing the modern world. They strive to share these teachings with others and work together to apply them in practice, building communities that increasingly reflect this vision.

They seek to ensure that their daily interactions reflect their belief in the nobility of the human being and humanity’s capacity for selflessness and love for others. Through these efforts, they contribute to the advancement of the civilization envisioned by Bahá’u’lláh, one founded on justice, unity, and peace.
